Theme ideas3

Crystal
  • Have most of the item in the exhibition clear.
  • Can make poster about the exhibition and put it inside a clear poster stand.
  • The work can be place inside a clear display board.

This is some of the example display board that can be use for this theme.

Theme ideas 2

Use black for the main colour, so the floor and display board will be in black.
  • Could try using tape to stick the glow stick around the work to make the work stand out.
  • Bright colours of paints can be use to to draw line on the black paper floor, so it can guild people where to go.
  • Clothes can be in bright colours, so is easy to spot and ask information.

Tate

I have went to Tate on Monday and took some photos of how have they organised a exhibition and display their art work.

Theme ideas 1

Skycastle

The area of the exhibition dont have much wall at the side, so it will be hard to decide how the work will be display.

So one of my idea are sky, but just have sky would not be too interesting, so having a castle in the sky are more fantasy.
Cloud can be made out of fhone board, hang it up the ceiling and work can be stick or use projector to put the work on it.
Broken castle stone wall.

Use wooden sign to show what type of work it is.

Dry ice can be used to creat a mist cloud effect on the floor.
Use fake grass for the floor.

Research

Dry ice is pure, solid carbon dioxide (CO2). As a gas, CO2 exists naturally in our environment.  It's called "dry ice" because it does not melt.  Dry ice goes directly from a solid to a gas in a process called sublimation.

Dry ice keeps items colder for much longer than traditional “wet ice” because dry ice is extremely cold, -109 degrees F (-78.5° C).  Dry ice sublimates into carbon dioxide gas instead of melting, leaving no liquid mess to clean up which is why dry ice blasting is a popular and environmentally friendly way to clean.

Idea of style it can be:

To start of...

A theme will be needed before doing any other work, because having a theme I can start thinking of hows to design the element that will be suitable to the exhibition.

In the mean time I have begin to start a spider diagram to write down any idea that have come in to my mind and how will the theme impact with the exhibition and think of different word type that could be use for it.

Brief

The task of working with the whole class to create a exhibition, is something very new to me. It is interesting that we can choose what group to join base on our skill.

I have join the graphics team, because I don't think I'm confident or good at presenting and describing the works to other people. So I have left the choice to do graphics or web, I'm more confident at creating and drawing therefore I think it could be more fun to be in the graphics team and can feel more successful seeing hows my drawing creating the exhibition.

The skill I think is important working in a team is communication, each team members should know what each other doing. To start the work, we all need to come up with a theme.
